Weapons and Armament

The intent of these rules is to maximize enjoyment and creativity while maintaining safety and balance between bots. These rules are subject to change based on experience and advances in technology and design. Check back often to ensure you are operating under the most current rules. For clarification or individual rulings.

Weapons Rules

Weapons may not fire, shoot, or discharge any un-tethered projectile, hook, or grapple.
Weapons may not be made of any metal component.
Weapons may not be made of any 3D printed component.
Weapons may not be made of any EVA foam component.
Weapons may not be made of any hot glue component.
Tethers may not be longer than 18 inches and must have the strength to securely hold the projectile.
​Spinning wheels may not have a diameter of greater then 3 inches.
No 3D printed, metal, EVA foam, or hot glue component may come in contact with another bot as a weapon.

Armament Rules

No wheels, gears, or 3D printed components may be used as guard rails, fenders or bumpers. 
Hot glue may not be used as a guard rail, fenders or bumpers. 

Safety first and foremost: A judge or official may, and will, disqualify any bot that they feel endangers the safety of participants or spectators.
