3D Printing End to End.
In this entry level, two-day class you will learn the entire process of 3D printing from idea to creation. Using publicly available models and TinkerCad (Free online) we will model, export and print various 3D models in both FDM/FFM and SLA (and if you don’t know what those mean, don’t worry,that's what the class is for) printers.
This class is open to all students 16 and over and will run from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on the nights of January 12th and 13th 2023. A recent Windows or Mac PC is recommended but can be borrowed if needed. $150 per student includes all equipment and materials.
2D CNC Router basics with 2D Design and G-Code Creation
In this entry level, two-day class you will learn the entire process of 2D CNC Router fabrication. Starting from Inkscape (a free 2D Design software) you will design, export to Aspire (G-Code Creation) and then load to Mach3 CNC Control software to design and cut your project. From Desktop CNC to full production machines,if you are looking to learn how to operate these amazing machines this is the place to start.
This class is open to all students 16 and over and will run from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on the nights of January 19th and 20th 2023. A recent Windows or Mac PC is recommended but can be borrowed if needed. $150 per student includes all equipment and materials.
Arduino for Stage, Props, and Cosplay.
Arduino Micro controllers are the standard for small circuit design. In this comprehensive entry level class, we will be fully exploring the use of micro controllers in the creation of a cosplay/theatrical prop. From concept to design and fabrication. Designed for those with no experience or masters of the craft,in this focused 3-day workshop we will utilize all the HUB's tools to create.
Best for those who have taken one of our classes previously, this class is open to all students 16 and over. Class will run from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on the nights of January 26th and 27th then 10:00 AM to 5:00PM on Sat the 28 so that you have lots of time to complete your project. A recent Windows or Mac PC is recommended but can be borrowed if needed. $175 per student Plus a $40 Arduino + Materials kit fee.
All classes are held in person at the RiSE HUB Facility at 9420 Activity Road #H San Diego Ca 92126. Discounts are available for multi-student and multi-class registration.
