RiSE to Follow
RiSE to Follow is an Arduino based automatous rover challenge. Teams of one to four students design, test and build their kine following robot and see who can stay on the track the longest without losing the line.
How it works.
Teams get their kits 60-90 days prior to the event.
With registration teams will be given access to the online training and mentors my take the one day training sessions held at the hub

At the Event.
Students arrive at the event with the robot and code ready to go. During the event day each team may approach the track three times and tell the ref that this next run will be a graded run. Once the run is started, the robot may not be touched or interfered with by a human. The robot then has a maximum of 3 mins on the track.
During its run the Robots Start at the Arrow in the Lower right corner and attempt to follow the ever decreasing in size, and increasing in complex twists and turns, line. Along the path are yellow score posts. Your score is calculated by the last post you past before your bot falls off the line or stalls. The winner for the day is based on the highest cumulative score from each of its three runs. |
