Tool Usage at the Hub

Robotics Inspiring Science and Engineering (RISE) is excited to bring to you the RISE4STEAM Hub, affectionately called "the Hub!"​
Hub Usage Policies: In General, to use the Hub visitors must "Leave no Trace," BYOM, Be Safe and follow Youth Protection Guidelines - please see this page for more details: https://www.rise4steam.org/thehub.html​
The Hub Tools include the following: CNC LASERS, CNC Routers, Lathes, Electronics Repair, Table Tools and MUCH MORE.

Tools at the HUB are divided into the following categories with a Class (A,B,C) rating:
Class C - Can be used with general safety precautions without supervision
Class B - Only certified personnel can use these tools after trained by Hub personnel
Class A - Requires two persons in shop during usage and additional certification / training, also limited to certified personnel.

Basic Construction hand tools (all C rated) – Hand tools, bench tools, etc.
Electronics Bench (all B rated) - Soldering tools, power supply, de-soldering
Basic powered Shop tools - Band Saw (B), Drill Press (B), powered hand tools (B), table saw (A), Chop Saw (B)
Additive Manufacturing - 3D Printers (B), RESIN Printers (B)
Subtractive Manufacturing. – CNC LASER Cutter (B), CNC Routers (A), Lathes (A)
Specialty Tools - Cricut vinyl cutter (B), Vacuum Forming Machine (B), 3-in-1 Welder (A), Metal Shear (A), Metal Bender (A), Metal Roller (A)
